      Tracie Fountas, DVM


Dr. Tracie (Rundle) Fountas was born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada. She later relocated to Prince Edward Island and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 1999. Following graduation, she moved to Massachusetts to practice at large multi doctor hospitals in both Andover, MA and Londonderry, NH. Next she accepted the Chief of Staff position at a corporately owned hospital in Salem, NH before opening River Road Veterinary Hospital. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry and soft tissue surgery. She is passionate about your pet receiving the most current care available and attends several veterinary conferences throughout the year. She has been a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association for the past 10 years, and is a current member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). She is also an avid member of The Veterinary Information Network (VIN).

Dr. Fountas’ interests outside of veterinary medicine include cooking, gardening, photography and traveling.


 



George N. Fountas, Jr., DVM

Dr. George Fountas is a New England native where he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary medicine from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.  He has worked at multi doctor hospitals in both Andover and North Andover, along with being Chief of Staff for a large corporately owned hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire. His medical interests include general and emergency medicine, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dental care and exotic pets. He is committed with keeping up with the ever changing veterinary profession and attends several veterinary conferences throughout the year. He has been a member of the American veterinary Medical Association for the past 13 years, and is also a member of the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association.

Hobbies and interests include sailing, traveling, bee keeping, and scuba diving. He also is a member of the Andover North Andover Masters swim team. 

Drs Fountas share their home with their Weimaraner, Gus, black lab, Jasper, and mini dachshund, BoBo.

 

Pet Nursing Team

 Michelle Lovell, CVT, Pet Nurse Director

 

Michelle Lovell has accepted the Pet Nurse Director position at River Road Veterinary Hospital. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2003 where she received her Certified Veterinary Technician degree. Her duties as a pet nurse include monitoring and caring for patients while under our care, along with nutritional counseling, educating pet owners on preventative health care and dental prophylaxis procedures.

 

She is presently owned by two Boston Terriers, Faneuil and Copley, a Maine Coon cat, Sebastian, and a domestic cat, Little Purr.  Originally from New York, she now resides in Manchester, New Hampshire with her husband of four years and their newest addition baby Kailee Rose Lovell. Michelle enjoys the beach, hiking, golf and spending time with family and friends.

   

Erika Charlton, CVT, Senior Pet Nurse

Erika is a 2001 graduate from New Hampshire Community College in Stratham with an associate degree in Science in Veterinary Technology.  She is skilled in many aspects of the veterinary field including anesthesia, radiology, laboratory procedures and client education.

Currently she lives in Weare, NH and shares her home with her husband of 6 years, Andy, a black lab, Cadence, 2 Chihuahuas Pooh and Kid, 3 cats, Spaz, Zappa, and Shady and a fish named Moe. In her free time she enjoys canoeing, spending time with family and is a huge Nascar Fan.

Linda Walton, Client Service Director

Linda is a 1975 graduate from Seneca College of applied arts with an associates degree in retail management. She has worked in the veterinary field for the past 8 years in a management capacity and also as a Pet Nurse assistant.

Originally from Toronto, she currently resides in Londonderry, NH where she shares her home with Chance the retriever, Steven and Wisteria the Maine Coons and little Willameana the rescued cat. Linda enjoys watching hockey, movies, antiquing, gardening and visits from her son Jason.

Michelle Roig, Client Service Coordinator

Michelle graduated from Hesser College in 1998 with a degree in Criminal Justice. She has worked in the veterinary field for the past 9 years.

Michelle and her husband, Alex, currently reside in Methuen, MA with their 3 children, Cyanna, Lexandra and Jordan, and their 2 dogs, Scooby and Roxy, and Clover, the cat, round out the menagerie.
